This e-monograph on Telemetry was written by Prof. H.K. Verma after teaching the subject for several years at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Over the past 70 to 80 years, the telemetry systems have changed from the initial electro-mechanical systems to electrical systems, to analog-electronic systems, to the present-day digital-electronic systems. The monograph reflects the present status of technology and the current practices, involving analog-electronic and digital-electronic telemetry systems. Even some of the analog electronic telemetry systems, which are now largely obsolete, have been excluded in this 2017-edition of the monograph. It comprises two chapters as under:
